New and reinforced mooring buoy from Aqualine

Aqualine is now launching a new and reinforced mooring buoy. Mooring and anchoring are critical factors to maintain top safety and with the new buoy, we increase the strength and ability to withstand extreme strain and loads.
Our certified buoys have been designed and built for extreme loads and are delivered in various sizes from 1100 to 4000 litres.

The exterior is a totally even and smooth rotational moulded PE shell that has been filled with expanded polystyrene (EPS) and reinforced with continuous hot galvanized steel fittings. This is stabilized with internal and external plates on the top and bottom which also prevent damage to the shell during high loads. The fitting is further reinforced by welded, transverse steel plates to ensure an even more even pressure distribution during high loads.

As for all of Aqualine’s components, the new mooring buoy also satisfies all the certification requirements and is based on our experience through several decades from the world’s most challenging waters. Built for extreme strain and high loads.

    Available directly from our warehouse.

Now, you can even have Aqualine certified floating collars with injection moulded brackets

The Aqualine Frøya Ring floating collar has built in more than 30 years of experience in the fish farming industry in some of the world’s most exposed waters. The floating collar is equipped with galvanized steel brackets and sinker tube and has become the preferred choice and market leader; always to be trusted when strength counts.

Now, we are also able to deliver floating collars with injection moulded brackets. The new floating collar with plastic brackets complies with the same rigorous requirements to strength and safety that Aqualine is known for.

The floating collar with injection moulded brackets is available in several versions; with or without steel mooring bracket and stays. The capacity will vary depending on which version you select.  Even this floating collar is available with sinker tube.

With this extension of the versions available, Aqualine is now able to offer floating collars that may be adapted to all types of localities, from the quiet and sheltered to the most extreme and weather-beaten.

Aqualine has dedicated and experienced employees who have the know-how and flexibility that makes it simple and natural to extend and adapt the product range to various requirements in the market, without compromising safety.

    Aqualine full steam ahead

After a fantastic year in 2010 with a turnover amounting to 239 million NOK, Aqualine has started this year even better and with full order books. They will see a new record for the number of assembly sites in July with the simultaneous fitting of cages and mooring systems at 9 locations all over the world.
    - The production capacity is exploited to the full at all our assembly sites in Norway, says General Manager Trond Lysklætt. -And we have a well filled order book which will keep us busy for the rest of the year. All employees have contributed greatly; which is the reason that we have delivered as agreed.

It is a matter of fact that all the fish farmers demand and order bigger and more robust equipment. This is proof that the business thinks in terms of safety. Many also consider the possibility to employ the equipment at more exposed locations.

    - We have produced, delivered and launched a very big floating collar with an interior circumference of 200 m. This is the world’s largest and must withstand a lot of forces, Lysklætt continues. - And it is not located in a calm fiord, but on the contrary at unsheltered and exposed Grip outside of Kristiansund, Norway. As a start without any fish in the net, but if everything develops as expected, we will see fish in it quite soon.

For the first time, Aqualine has received an order for delivery to Panama. It will be delivered in July 2011. Together with large volume orders to Tasmania, Shetland and Canada, they have succeeded internationally. Even the Chilean subsidiary has had considerable tasks assembling net cages, which also contributes to the full steam ahead.
